Super Mossy Leaf-Tailed Gecko (Uroplatus sikorae) - The Ghost of Madagascar

The Super Mossy Leaf-Tailed Gecko (Uroplatus sikorae) is a masterclass in biological engineering. Native to the primary rainforests of Madagascar, this species is world-renowned for its “dermal fringe”—flap-like skin extensions along its jaw and body that break up its outline and eliminate shadows against tree bark. The “Super Mossy” designation refers to individuals with exceptionally high-contrast green, lichen-like patterns that make them virtually invisible in a forest canopy.
With their marbled, “all-seeing” eyes and tails that perfectly mimic a decaying leaf, these geckos are the ultimate centerpiece for a high-humidity, bioactive terrarium. Whether you are looking for a hardy, acclimated pet or a specimen to introduce fresh genetics into a breeding project, the U. sikorae remains one of the most rewarding and visually stunning lizards in the world.

Please Note: Images are representative only. Uroplatus are famous for their individual “bark” patterns—no two geckos look exactly alike. Unless marked “Exact Animal,” you will receive a high-quality, mossy-phase specimen.
